The Saxon Church of St Michael’s at Duntisbourne’s in the Cotswolds The church is built on the side of a hill overlooking the Dunt valley The tower was added in the 15th century.
The Stone Cross is a scheduled Ancient Monument and dates from the 12th Century.
This photo is two shots only taken to show the natural light in Duntisbourne Church which is posted below. They were quick ‘Snaps' taken with the Canon G5 at 1 sec f3.5 200iso with the camera supported on the back of a pew. Although the shots were only taken to get a straight from the camera impression of the interior, the file is 5520 pixels which would give a print size of 23 inches. I’m not complaining about the quality the old Canon G5 even when the operator is not really trying.
I have many and varied photo interests, Street Photography, wildlife, glamour, landscape etc. Photographing everything around me seemed to be a very natural thing to do.
My favourite tools are now digital but I like to play with my old film cameras now and again. I shot film for over 30 years but we all move on.
With digital I now use a Ricoh GRD2 & 1, Canon G5 and Pentax DSLs the K10D and its little brother the K100D I often use them both together with different lenses fitted.
